Experienced Osteopath.

IBCLC. Mother. Educator.

I’m Kirsten Hannan, an Australian-trained and registered Osteopath with more than 20 years of clinical experience.

I have a special interest in pregnancy, postpartum care, babies and children, and I’m passionate about helping families feel informed, supported and confident in their bodies.

I’m also an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), which allows me to combine my osteopathic training with evidence-based lactation knowledge to consider both physical and feeding-related factors when supporting mothers and babies.

My approach

My mission is to provide gentle, informed care for you and your little ones — at every stage.

My goal is not simply to treat a painful area. I want you to understand what may be happening, why you are experiencing it now and what we can do together to support recovery.

I believe good healthcare should leave you feeling informed as well as cared for.

Beyond the treatment room

My work extends beyond clinical practice.

I’m a speaker for GOLD Online Lactation Education, an author and peer reviewer for the International Journal of Osteopathic Medicine, and a former coordinator and lecturer in Anatomy and Physiology for Massage and Naturopathy students at TAFE Tasmania.

I have also delivered educational talks on workplace wellness, posture and back care, injury prevention and osteopathic support during breastfeeding.

I regularly speak to new mothers' groups about how osteopathy may support children from infancy through adolescence.

On a personal note, I’m a mother of three wonderfully energetic children who keep me on my toes! I understand firsthand the realities of birth, the physical demands of parenting, and the journey of feeding and nurturing a baby—day and night.

My journey

I began my career as a senior associate osteopath in a busy private clinic in Australia, where I worked for three years before moving to Singapore in 2008.

I spent almost 12 years practising at Osteopathic Health Care in Singapore, developing extensive experience working with families before returning home to Sydney in 2020.

I now practise at Body of Life Health Centre in Frenchs Forest.
